 2025 April 23rd, Shanghai and Hangzhou, China. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (Geely Holding) highlighted results of increased synergies in developing sustainable mobility and intelligent technologies through the exhibits of its portfolio brands at the 2025 Shanghai Show.

The 2025 Shanghai Auto Show saw a broad range of Geely Holding portfolio brands, including Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Geely Galaxy, Farizon, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, smart, etc unveiling to global audiences their latest innovative products utilizing the latest technologies developed from Geely technology ecosystem.

This year, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility technology, Geely Holding portfolio brands prominently displayed highly efficient hybrid electric powertrain solutions at their exhibition stands. During the Auto Show, five flagship models were unveiled. These models employed the most up-to-date hybrid powertrain solutions that had been developed within the Geely technology ecosystem. As a result, they vividly demonstrated the significant advantage of group synergies, which effectively benefited each individual brand under the Geely umbrella.. While each brand customized hybrid powertrain solutions to best fit their user needs, the core technology has been developed under Geely Holding and its ecosystem partners.

Zeekr unveiled the first plug-in hybrid model from the brand, the luxury flagship SUV Zeekr 9X which also features CATL’s new Xiaoyao battery, delivering an all-electric range of 380km, the longest in the world for a hybrid model. With a blistering 0-100km/h acceleration in 3s, the 9X sets a new benchmark for hybrid electrified performance.

Lynk & Co made waves during the Auto Show with its full-sized hybrid SUV, the Lynk & Co 900. Making use of a 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrain, 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission DHT, and dual rear e-motors for a combined total power of 650kW, the 900 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.3s, making it one of the fastest hybrid in its segment.

Both models also come equipped with the recently released G-Pilot AI-powered autonomous driving solution from Geely Holding with the Zeekr 9X model receiving the highest level G-Pilot that supports L3 capabilities. In addition with the two long-ranged model debuts were accompanied by the release of Zeekr Group’s V4 ultra-fast charging pile, capable of an industry leading 1.3MW peak charging speed.

Geely Auto debuted an innovative high-tech robust concept SUV as a showcase of their bold vision for the future. The Geely Galaxy Cruiser is the world’s first SUV to be able to seamlessly transition between pure EV, hybrid, and range extended modes supported by Geely Holding’s full-domain AI technology. AI also supports the vehicle’s four-wheel drive system to adapt to different road conditions from the city to rugged off-road trails. Taking sensor based safety to a new level, the Galaxy Cruiser will also be an industry’s first to come with vehicle mounted sonar and water radar, enabling the vehicle to float and wade through water as deep as 800mm at speeds up to 4.6 knots.

In another world’s first and highlighting the progress Geely Holding has made towards sustainable mobility, the Group unveiled the world’s first methanol range extended electric powertrains and methanol REV commercial vehicles. In tandem with a green methanol production ecosystem, Geely’s methanol ranged extended powertrains elevates the sustainability and efficiency of hybrid powertrains to a completely new level and in many market environments offering a better sustainable mobility option. The Farizon SV methanol REV and Farizon Homtruck methanol REV provide green commercial mobility option for urban and long range trucking uses.

While hybrid powertrain were a major highlight among Geely Holding portfolio brands in 2025, batteries also play a major role in the newly debuted electrified vehicles. At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Geely Holding announced the combination of their two most advanced battery products, the Golden Battery used primarily by Zeekr and Lynk & Co brands and the Geely Short Blade Battery used by Geely Auto and Galaxy brands through a new battery industrial group responsible for the new production and further development of the “Golden Short Blade Battery”. The new industrial group increases the benefits of intra-group synergy in battery development and production to the benefit of Geely portfolio brands in the future.

In addition to improving group synergies in sustainable electrified powertrains, batteries, and automotive intelligence, Geely has remained committed to improving safety. At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Geely Holding announced the opening of its Global Safety Center, a state-of-the-art facility accessible to the entire automotive industry for testing automotive safety. Further demonstrating the Group’s commitment to safety, Geely is opening up its patents for improving battery safety to the entire industry in hopes of raising safety standards critical to EVs.

Throughout this year’s Shanghai Auto Show, the trend towards more sustainable mobility and intelligence continues to be illuminated through the many products unveiled by Geely portfolio brands and others exhibitors. Progress waits for no one, with greater synergies through the Geely technology ecosystem, global brands have been able to stay at the forefront of progress and innovation as seen at this year’s Auto Show.
